Sport is a key part of the school day at Bishopstrow College.
Our mission in sport is to provide a fun and safe environment to promote imagination, leadership and dedication in all sports, with enjoyment parallel to this. Sport is also an excellent opportunity for EFL learners to practice using their English language in a competitive and physical environment.
The sports programme provides students with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of traditional British sports, including hockey, football, basketball, rugby, athletics, tennis and badminton. Students are introduced to new skills and match situations, with these experiences enhancing personal development.
Sport is taught by a dedicated team, who are highly qualified, with a range of skills and experience in a number of different sports.
Sport is timetabled every day and students also have the opportunity to participate in sport at the weekend.
Students participate in inter-house competitions throughout the academic year. In addition, from time-to-time, there are opportunities to participate in competitive, friendly fixtures against other independent schools and colleges.
