Sports Update – Badminton versus Dauntsey’s School

Posted: 20th October 2018

Badminton students

Sports are an integral part of Bishopstrow’s preparation-for-boarding programmes, as we recognise that in most cases, students will have the opportunity to get actively involved in a variety of sports when they join their ‘destination school’.  At Bishopstrow, all students participate in sports for an hour every day during the school week, with optional sports at the weekend, including friendly fixtures against other local boarding schools.

This term, we have a number of fixtures organised with other local schools, across a range of sports.  In October, we kicked off the fixtures schedule with a badminton match against Dauntsey’s School.  We were delighted to host Dauntsey’s, with a number of students representing Bishopstrow’s badminton team!  It was a close contest, with Dauntsey’s ultimately coming out on top.  Well done to all involved!
