Students Celebrate Success at End of Term 3 Graduation

On Thursday 10 June, we were delighted to welcome Ian Wilmshurst, Headmaster of King’s Bruton School to Bishopstrow for our End of Term 3 Graduation.

During the graduation ceremony, which took place in the nearby Bishopstrow Church, Ian shared his memories from the Queen’s visit to King’s Bruton School in 2019, when the School celebrated its 500th anniversary.  Whilst Bishopstrow, established in July 2006, will celebrate its 15th anniversary later this year, many of the key lessons learned shared by Ian – including the need to focus on ‘preparation, preparation, preparation’ – will serve our graduating students well as they prepare to progress to a number of leading boarding schools across the UK.

This was the first graduation celebrated at Bishopstrow since the summer of 2019, due to the pandemic, and staff and students alike very much enjoyed the return to normality, although with a number of students joining the event remotely, life is obviously not yet fully back to normal!

After the ceremony, we enjoyed a hog roast BBQ dinner, accompanied by an abridged performance of Animal Farm.

Our thanks to Ian for joining us and congratulations to all those students presented with an award or prize.
