Bishopstrow College Students Celebrate Exam Success27th July 2019

Bishopstrow College students have again secured excellent grades in their Cambridge English Language Assessment and IGCSE examinations.

In ESOL, students achieved a 100% pass rate with 5 Distinctions and 4 Merits in the Cambridge Key English Test (KET) and Preliminary English Test (PET) examinations.  Meanwhile, in IGCSEs, more than 96% of grades awarded were A* to C Grade, the best results for the College in the past five years.  Given that all of the students who sat IGCSEs are non-native English speakers, this is a terrific achievement.

Commenting on the result, Chris Lewis, Director of Studies said: “Many congratulations to all of those students who completed the Cambridge English Language Assessment and Cambridge IGCSEs.  We are delighted with these excellent results, which reflect the hard work and commitment of both our student body and their EAL and academic subject teachers.”

Having completed their IGCSEs, the Year 11 class are now progressing on to a number of leading boarding schools across the UK.  We wish them well with their continuing education.
