Sports Update – Inter-House Quick Cricket
Sports Update – Inter-House Quick Cricket10th June 2018
Sports are an integral part of Bishopstrow’s preparation-for-boarding programmes, as we recognise that in most cases, students will have the opportunity to get actively involved in a variety of sports when they join a mainstream boarding school. At Bishopstrow, all students participate in sports for an hour every day during the school week, with optional sports at the weekend, including friendly fixtures against other local boarding schools.
This term, our Senior students have enjoyed a number of matches, including Basketball against Downside School, Football against Prior Park College and a Badminton competition at Kingdown School. Meanwhile, our Junior and Middle students have enjoyed over 10 inter-house competitions including Tag Rugby, Rounders, Quick Cricket, Athletics, Basketball and Football. These College events provide opportunities for the students to work as a team in their houses (Newton, Pankhurst, Nightingale and Blake) whilst also allowing them to earn those all important stars for their house.
