Welfare

Here at Bishopstrow, we feel it is very important that your child gains an understanding of English life, culture and what real boarding school is like in the U.K. We aim to provide a safe, warm environment where the young students can learn about life in England, and also experience first-hand what it will be like to board in a UK Independent Boarding School.

  • Educational and Recreational visits. This could be an excursion to a famous English city like Oxford, or a cultural heritage site like Stonehenge. Your child will learn about English culture and life in England before going to an Independent School in U.K.
  • Sports programme. Students will take part in a different sport 6 days of the week. We encourage all the students to participate in traditional English sports like Rugby and Cricket, as well as a sport of their choice. We feel it is very important all students learn the importance of sportsmanship and are able to abide by rules. Read a blog about this.
  • Arts and Music programme. Every year we stage the "Bishopstrow musical." This is a great opportunity for children to dedicate time to practising their craft and talents, and developing the self- esteem to perform in front of their peers and teachers.
  • We provide airport transfers on request for children not able to travel with a guardian or independently to Bishopstrow.

"First of all, we ensure our students eat well and sleep well…. only then can they achieve their full potential in a school day." Fran Henson, Principal
