THE COLLEGE

Bishopstrow is a specialist College for boys and girls aged 8 to 17 years who are intending to enter the UK educational system at preparatory school or senior school level. The College achieves success by offering intensive English tuition from elementary to advanced level combined with teaching in core curriculum subjects. The College is also able to provide individually tailored programmes to assist students with their applications, entrance examinations and interviews to UK schools as well as examinations leading to the University of Cambridge ESOL qualifications. As the College is totally independent we can assist you or your guardian agency in the vitally important task of choosing the right school for your son or daughter, as we know that obtaining a place at the best school for your child can sometimes be extremely difficult from overseas. Parents are kept well informed of their child’s progress and we work closely with you (or your appointed guardian) to ensure that wherever possible your expectations are met or even exceeded. The Principal has a recognised record of success in achieving the very best outcome for her students.

Aims

Teaching

• Small classes (6 to 8 students or less), grouped by ability and age, from elementary to advanced level.
• Preparation for entry to U.K. preparatory and senior schools.
• Minimum of 20 lessons of intensive, ESOL tuition each week, plus supervised homework
• Specialist subject tuition in maths and sciences.
• IELTS preparation
• A limited number of places will be available for Common Entrance, Scholarship, GCSE, and ESOL revision courses during half-terms, Easter and summer vacations.

• Fully inclusive 7 day week programme of sport, recreational, and educational activities and visits.
