BISHOPSTROW COLLEGE

The first step towards academic success

within the UK educational system

Bishopstrow is a college for students whose first language is not English wishing to enter the premier independent schools in the United Kingdom. The Principal was Head of a leading boarding school and has an outstanding track record of helping students gain places at major independent schools. Courses normally last between 1 to 3 terms. Because of the very individual personal attention and support given to each child places are limited.

The College is accredited with the British Council and ABLS and registered with Ofsted (DCSF No. 865/6041). We are a University of Cambridge ESOL Examination Centre and a University of Cambridge International Examination Centre.

"Bishopstrow is like an ‘incubator’, it provides a period of intensive learning and support so that your child can gain entry to and flourish within the better UK independent schools" (Parent)

Bishopstrow College creates a caring and secure community, within a dynamic yet strong family atmosphere. Good results emanate from small classes and teaching excellence, the individual attention that students (and parents) receive and deserve are all real strengths and assets of the College.

Parents choose Bishopstrow to be reassured that:

  • Their child is well cared for and given the best possible educational and pastoral support.
  • They gain a place at the best school for their son/daughter that truly recognises and nurtures their overall ability.
  • Their child is well prepared for the entrance examinations and interviews for their preferred/chosen school.
  • Their child’s understanding of English and other curricular subjects is of such a high standard that he/she can rapidly integrate within the academic and social life of their new school.

We all want the best for our own children and at Bishopstrow College
we want the best for them too (Principal)
