Activities / Excursions
There is a 7 day week programme with evening entertainment, weekend activities and excursions organised and led by college staff. There are regular weekly organised study excursions usually on one weekday afternoon and one all day weekend excursion. Organised activities take place in the afternoon, both on and off site. Special evening events are organised at the weekends. We aim to allow students a chance to relax and use their free time constructively by offering them a wide range of activities to explore.
The college itself is surrounded by 7 acres of its own private grounds, providing pitches for football, hockey and baseball, and hard surfaces for basketball, volleyball, and badminton. There are also purpose-built golf tee and boules areas. Other areas of the grounds are designated for specific use, such as a croquet lawn and a barbeque area. Indoor activities include yoga, fitness training, aerobics, pilates and tai-chi etc.
Locally within a 5-10 minute walk students have use of a sports club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, cricket pitch, horse riding, cycle track, and country walks. Within 5-10 minutes by college mini-bus there are facilities for orienteering, sailing, golf, outdoor pursuits and other activities. Every day students have an opportunity to enjoy sports activities at College such as:
